Fertilizer and lime rates
Annual fertilizer for established lawn: cool-season needs 2-4 lb actual nitrogen per 1,000 sq ft per year, split across 2-4 applications. Warm-season: 2-6 lb N per year. Lime: applied when soil pH drops below 6.0 for cool-season or 6.5 for warm-season. Standard rate: 50 lb pelletized lime per 1,000 sq ft to raise pH ~0.5 points. Get a real soil test first; don't apply lime blindly.
